No 5th gear or reverse!

   Alright guys,
   I've just had a new gear box fitted to my car 2 weeks back-
   but after ripping my car round today, I noticed when at the lights that the gear stick feels like its broken or something and now i cant get reverse or 5th gear!
   
   I jacked the car up when i got home to check the linkages hoping i could push them back on but i think the big one is sliding off but hoping its not the gearbox
   
   Anyway i'm going to buy some new ones now off Flea bay but theirs two different ones = 1) the 1st ones have balls on the end. 2) the 2nd ones have holes at the ends with like a seal in the holes. Does anybody know which ones are the correct ones or do you need both of them?

   Sounds like the ball joints, happened on my sisters Punto and she loast 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
   
   In reply to your question, both i'd imagine as both parts form the join.

   You'll want the linkages with the balls on the ends, not the rose jointed ones

   i had this problem but it sorted its self out after some use!
