    60mm too low.
  7. #7
    ok????

Had 4 people in the car, no rubbing at all, havent removed any liners etc.

60mm aint too low at all, suppose you have to be hardcore to go extra low and go 60mm.

Just springs, standard shocks were in great condition, providing there is no signs of wear etc leaks then standard shocks will be fine, people do say they wear quicker but there is people on here lowered 60mm on standard shocks and has been like that for like 3 years or more with no wear.

60mm i think is a spot on height to lower, have trouble gettin the jack under mind you but looks over convenience any time

Totally agree, looks immense imo, just have to drive it on a piece of wood first before you can put the jack under lol.

Could have a problem if you want to fit lower brace or 4 into 1 manifold and larger exhaust system if you go to 60mm ?

my mates down 60 mm on standard shockers and his car is lethal. to the point i refuse to go in it.the shocks bottom out most of the time. not sure whether this is dodgy springs or if the shockers are shot, probably both but you cant go down a bumpy road at any pace other wise you would be in the hedge

id get shocks mate if you hadnt planned to

Like already stated, there is plenty of people on here on standard shocks down 60mm and have no problems, shocks will wear quicker but only use them if there in good working order.

Im down 60mm on standard shocks and all is fine, ride isnt much different to standard apart from alittle more bumpy, all comes down to fitting aswell i suppose and what springs are being used as different springs are more bouncy or more stiffer than others.

I cut the bumpstops down abit so the car wasnt sat on them giving a little more ride rather than a solid ride.

By the sound of your mates car the shocks are definately shagged and probably were on there way out before hand or he's done alot of miles since its been down 60mm.

My spax shocks are knackered (both leaking)
I have 2 pairs of standard shocks in my garage, you reckon they are ok to use instead of having to pay for another pair of uprated shocks then?

    mattg,

yea his shocks are knackered and hes done loads of miles on them but tbh the rest of the car is no better. all of his balls joints and most of the bushes are also worn out. the car is a trap, im sure 60 mm spring can be used on standard shocks but personally i wouldn't, but thats just my opinion on the matter , sorry if it upsets anyone
