vtr turbo

#1
-
#2seen some poo ones only make 110bhp at the fly - on the other hand theres the Tweequed Automotive 8v thats going to be running 300+
-
#4I would say running about 140-150 bhp if its a good setup with all correct fueling.
with performance cams and good exhaust system maybe abit more but its different with every car and depends what make turbo/intercooler and make how extreme your cams are if you fit them and if you use a standalone ecu or mf2 controller.
but anything is possible if you have the funds -
#6i already got my vts mate and the ammount it cost to run and i never stop speinding on the thing so no, i couldnt keep up with 2 turbos on the road...hoping to get my vts up to around 290 now from the 218bhp it is now though
-
#8why u wanna know how much a vtr turbo bhp figure if you drive a 218 bhp vts lol
-
#10Not too sure to be honest mate, going up as soon as the build is finished to get it mapped and dyno'd so ill let you know, i'd like to see your sax soon too!Quote:andrew mate, what are you exspecting then bhp and tourqe wise....
hopefully the first map only running low boost, around 6 psi, about 150 bhp +
but then when a quaife LSD and a new box and driveshafts added, hopefully around 200 horse, depending on boost etc. -
#11My mates VTR Turbo is around 160bhp i believe.
will tell you on the 19th when it goes to the rollers. -
#12n/a power is alot better than turbo!
get throttle bodies instead -
#15ahh tidy mate i had a sneak preview of you car atm on you photo link page looking mint, are you going to change log book to turbo or not going to bother??Quote:Not too sure to be honest mate, going up as soon as the build is finished to get it mapped and dyno'd so ill let you know, i'd like to see your sax soon too!

Not going to change the log book, but its being insured as a vtr turbo, only people who'd quote me with 6 points and a ban is Adrian Flux.
so when you going over to zelda?? lol!!
P.S you'll have to take me out in your sax sometime, never been in a turbo'd one before!!
-
#17Ahh tidy better of not changing it or future, zelda is making a start on tuesday for my manifoldQuote:Cheers mate, havent seen yours for a while but been told its looking nice, has it been lowered yet??

cant wait,
and yeah i dont seem to use the turbo much as it costs alot adictive to hammering it every good road you come to and that gets me in trouble haha
however will take u out soon you will be buzzing to get your saxo done asap and yeah i,ve had it lowerd now put a bigger brake setup on her as they were standard as you know frount mount intercooler, decent cooling system and now this exhaust system all ads up mate
p.s still working in greens yeah? i was up last week to get a ignition barrel and switch mine went...
-
#18I hope you get more than 150bhp, aiming for 180 in the 1.3 I am
-
#20readen ze threaden I used to have a 1.1 in my quiksivler but killed it and now have a 1.3 from a s1 rallye in! Thats provided I can get all parts soon!

#23Andrew if you make less than 230 i'll cry
-
#25running a GT17 hybrid at the moment mate going to run 14/15psi through it
-
#26wot bhp figure u reckon I would get out of a vtr with:
kent cam and pulley,
full piper exhaust straight through,
green enclosed induction,
garret t2 turbo.
just gotta get hold of the turbo and mf2 controller. fitting to this car wot u guys fink

#27if you look at the other photo's will be changing the induction to enclosed but the manifold is still fitted till turbo goes on
-
#28well it wont be enclosed coz will be connected to turbo but got a enclosed 1 for free so gonna fit that till can afford to finish the turbo kit im building up,
end result will be:
kent cams and pulley (already fitted two days ago)
turbo kit with 5th injector and mf2 controller
piper exhaust system (already fitted) -
#29what you think to the saxo turbo then ??Quote:Cheers mate, havent seen yours for a while but been told its looking nice, has it been lowered yet??
