yes the mk2 vtr,s are the cat witch is up in the engine attached to the manifold can get them easily but cost a but more than an average decat pipe

i had 1 on my 02 plate vtr bought i manifold with a decat and that was about £240

I thought because the cat is actually on the manifold you can't? could be wrong like...

I thought that as well^ If it's an early mark 2 vtr e.g 1 plug ecu, then the cat is under the car, if it's a 3 plug ecu, the cat will be in the Mani, meaning a new manifold.

there is a way,but its just sooooooooo not worth it,tooooo much agro and wont be as good as a s/s one,go out and buy a mani for a mk1 that will decat it.

true, the amount off hassle to try decat it you would better of just buying a stainless manifold with a sportscat or decat with it

the only way to decat a standar mani is to undo the four nuts that hold the cat and the mani together, then get a custom downpipe made, far toooo much hassle.

Or just fit a mk1 exhaust manifold...

Dont get a sports cat or Miltek for a saxo mate.

Get either a Mk1 manifold to replace your's or an aftermarket Raceland, Piper or SuperSprint item with decat pipe (costs less and give better performance)

Looking around £150 all in for the cheapest aftermarket options, Piper and SS wil be more and i've got my old fanifold spare

i know mate,i would of done if the car was going to be track only, but its got to be road legal aswell, too much vosa stop and checks aka free mot around here.plus police pull you up alot round here and they know a decat from a cat lol.

the best thing to do is get a supsersprint decat manifold.

although there is a company that does a stainless manifold with sports cat for a mk2?

I'd get a performance mani and stick a cat in the exhaust system where it should be if I wanted to remain road legal!
