Replacing ECU

   We've lost the only transponder key for our 1999 16v VTS. Already have replacement set of locks and key but need to get a replacement ECU and transponder, appears to be less expensive than getting Citroen to find key number, cut new key and programme transponder. Existing ECU is Magneti-Marelli single plug. Can a Bosch be used and if so which one?

   You could get your ECU unlocked?

   Who will do this and when it's done, I take it that the replacement key and ignition lock will be ok. In other words the car can then effectively be "hot wired"

   This sounds a big headache
   
   I'd phone around specialists and get them to program a new key
