Space 205 GTi alloys?

  1. #1
    Hey all

Do I need to space the 205 GTi alloys on my Saxo? They do visually look like they sit quite far inside the arches.

    Cheers

Yep 25mm spacers needed! that will keep them flush with the arch and it'll sit alot nicer!!!

Thanks Welshy.. You replied in my other thread as well.. 25mm seems quite sizeable spacers, will this put un-due stress on my wheel bearings?

You don't neeeeed to put the on, i had them on without spacers and was fine. Think Saxo180 had 20mm on his and they sat pretty sweet.

I have been running them without spacers, but they are rubbing the very inside of the tyre on full lock.

Where can I find some? Other that Fleabay?

Any local motor factors or performance garage/shop can get them, you could also try a decent tyre and exhaust place that sell alloys, they usually have them in or take a couple of days to come.

Also having spacers on won't really touch your wheel bearings, damage to them is usually caused by people lowering and knocking out the camber which puts strain on them!

Make sure you get proper hubcentric spacers otherwise you'll get some unbearable wheel wobble!

Ok, thanks all for your help. I dont want to get this wrong, they seem to be quite expensive.. So.. If possible could someone post a picture of what I'm looking for? Hubcentric ones, Would that mean they have the same centre bore to the Saxo, and affix directly to the hub? Then the wheels fix to the spacer?

    Thanks

Ideally but some places offer spacers which you use longer bolts with. Try to avoid these

These above are £70 for the set of 4? Worth it?
