#3cheers nick
r888 alot cheaper than some of them lol yoko's are nice tho!
cant rep you nick
feds seem good -
#4Stick with the R888s if you're on a budget then

I dont know how they compare with each other... -
#5aye not really on a budget, but im not plannin on spendin 450 on tyres!
-
#6are these for croft?
-
#7Have used Yokos and frankly, they rock, but I have nothing else to compare to. I believe they wear a bit better than R888s too.
If you're in the area I'll have a word with a mate of my dad's and get you some at trade if you can pick them up (R888s)
PM, txt, Facebook etc -
#8think the 888s are softer than the aos
I'm looking into a set of em for when'd rebuild my vts
I'm awaiting jpsaxos verdict as he's running aos ATM but has a set of 888s waiting for use next so he can compare em -
#9alexr has said he can sort me some r888, unsure on price but il get in touch later dave, just as long as its not down to you for delivery

nah not for croft, i have tyres already on my track wheels, plenty of tread on them, just want to know what to get next and where from -
#10I didn't really get on with the R888s. Use Yokohama 048Rs at the moment - they are a big improvement on the 032R. Seem to get up to temperature quicker also and wear better.
-
#11dont really want to spent 400 on tyres
feds look good, but depends on what price r888s are for -
#12888's as they are cheap ftw!
-
#13Yeah the feds do look good, kinda same as Eagle F1s a lot softer though i should expect as they are designed souly for track...Quote:dont really want to spent 400 on tyres

Feds are cheap too, i spend that much on my road tyres

#14im gona wait til ive sold leather interior before buying
was chattin to sam, said you should really get a baffled sump whats people opinions on that? -
#15What sorta prices do folk pay for the R888s?
-
#17baffled sump stops you starving the engine of oil when conering hard. All the oil can goto one side of the sump leaving the oilpickup point dry. I dont think its a common fault on the saxos really but its still a sensible job to do and can only make things done better (when done properly!)
-
#19been quoted cheaper than that andy

think its worth getting sump then? -
#20yoko's a048s FTW
-
#22I've never had a problem with oil starvation on the TU engines even with sticky trackday tyres. Not an expensive addition though for piece of mind.Quote:baffled sump stops you starving the engine of oil when conering hard. #23has any one used the fedral track tyres as they are a good price just not sure how good compared with toyo r888 an yoko ao48s
-
#24Don't laugh but...................
HANKOOK now have a growing reputation with tyres.
I would recommend the RS2 track tyre as i have heard some great stuff about it.
I will be buying these when my Yoks are dead.
Also a good price to, and better in the wet than other more hardcore track tyres which is important in this country. -
#25think im going to go with either r888 or fed, not in a rush for them, stil a track day left in my current tyres
sell leather and purchase these -
#26all advice welcome mate thanksQuote:Don't laugh but...................
