Vts mapping and cams

  1. #1
I have a cammed vts.. other usual mods like magnex race system 4-2-1 bmc port n polished.

Bought the car like it. Thought it was mapped but not too sure. Definatly chipped as revs to between 7.5k-8k depending on gear.
Got a fuel pressure regulator aswell i think.
Got receipts for everything but it does not say which cams it has in it.

It seems to be over fueling abit and would like to get it mapped agen. Got rolling road figures of 153bhp before it was gas flowed and had open induction on it. So i was thinkin it would be 708's or along those lines in it but im not too sure because of how it performs.

Got adjustable piper pulleys im pretty sure by looking at it. But is there anyway of telling which cams without takin everythin apart on the engine?

Also im thinking of getting it remapped and was just wondering what places people rate. I know about chip wizards. Dont mind doing the travelling but would prefer someone abit closer to midlands area.

Msg'd spoox motorsport earlier.. anyone been to them for such things?

    any help much appreciated. cheers.

if you wip the cam cover off you should be able to see markings on the cam which will indicate what cams are in it, only a 20minute job

Why the need for adjustable pulleys when they are adjustable as standard?

most cams have their markings on the ends of the cams so they will need to be removed. chipwizards isnt far away from you, i drove there from northumberland.

    worth the trip then?
only heard good things to be honest.

Ye will check cams at weekend. Think it might be the cup cams.
