my mate has just brought some xsara vts brakes for his 2000 furio!

    1 will they fit?

id say they would more than likely fit, hows about measuring the size of the discs he has? if there 283mm then they will no doubt be the same as the gti6 ones, which will need a slight bit of grinding involved but nothing major to fit

if there 266mm they will most likely be the same as most 206 and some 306 brakes which will also fit

they are the same just need grinding to fit

not all pug brakes that are 266 discs will fit a saxo daniel

all PSA brakes off anything below 406/xantia size will fit. the bigger cars use different hub offsets.

xsara vts use mostly gti6 283mm setup, some use 266. All will fit.

is it the 406 283 ones that dont fit alex?

all 406 brakes don't fit. the brembos fit with 302mm discs on a 406 and 288mm discs on a saxo, because the offset is different on the hub so technically they don't fit, not how they were intended anyway

so would other 406 brakes fit if the rules were 'bent' slightly alex?

i have two sets of 406 "283mm" calipers. for a start they use 26mm thick discs of a different offset to gti6 ones, but with similar calipers, then they won't fit over 283mm discs because the offset from the hub is different on a saxo, they just about fit over 266mm discs on a saxo but then the large pads hang about 10mm over the inside edge of the disc.

    so that's a no really.
