#4Wanting to know how to smoke fogs too. Do you have to prime or just paint? And do you use matt paint or metallic or what?

#5Dont spray the glass mate, it wont stick as your aware lol.
You need to heat the silicone around the outside of the fog light.
You then need to carefully and i mean carefully and slowly prise the glass off breaking the seal. I had a sharp knife to cutting the sealant as i went and the glass pops off, it is alittle tight but if you do bit by bit it comes off fine.
I rushed my first one and broke it but the second one was easy if i took my time, same for the replacement of the broken one.
Then lightly rub down the surround you need to paint with 600-1000 grit wet and dry making a course then primer and paint.
Leave to dry ovenight and to reseal them use some clear silicone around the edge of the foglight where the glass would go and carefully push the glass onto the fog light, i used some elastic bands around the glass and unit to make the glass tight and let it set over night again.
Next day took the elastic bands off and they were finished. -
#7Surely if your painting the inside of the glass and you primer it when you look at it from the outside you will see the primer rather than the black paint as the primer is the bottom layer. :?

#8You dont spray the glass, you spray the surround behind the glass, the shiny silver bit.

#9Oh right okay
i'm planning on doing it on the corsa not a saxo, but i'm sure its the same method. Cheers.
