IV GOT A 2001 MK2 VTR WITH A LITTLE FLIK OF SPOILER WITH A LITTLE CUT OUR FOR THE REAR WASHER, I'M SURE YOUR ALL AWARE OF THIS SPOILER BUT IV SEEN A LOT OF MK1 VTR'S WITH LARGER FACTORY SPOILERS WITH A CURVED SHAPE COMING AWAY FROM THE CAR, DO THESE FIT THE MK2'S USING THE TWO FIXING HOLES THROUGH THE REAR WINDSCREEN. IF THEY DO AND ANYONES GOT A POSY BLUE ONE WHICH WILL FIT I'D BE VERY INTERESTED. CHEERS DAN

#2MK1 ones dont go through the glass I think matey.
Saxo boots are all the same, but its just the glass issue to work around.
Ie: use grommits, or get a different glass, without the holes. -
#3SUCH A SHAME COS THOSE SPOILERS LOOK SO MUCH BETTER, PROBABLY BE EASIER TO REPLACE THE WHOLE BOOT LID THEN THE GLASS, WHAT AN EFFORT THOUGH! MK2'S ARE A PAIN IN THE ARSE COMPARED TO MK1'S
-
#4ANOTHER QUICK QUESTION, IM GETTING IT LOWERED BY 35MM COS IT LOOKS LIKE A JEEP AT THE MO, IV HEARD THE POWER STEERING PIPE NEEDS RELOCATING, IS THIS A SIMPLE JOB? THANX FOR YOUR REPLY. DAN
-
#5at 35mm a few cable ties to pull the power steering pipe up a bit will suffice
-
#6wouldnt be easier to change the boot lid at all, shouldnt be that much if you have windscreen cover on your insurance.
if you changed the boot lid you would need a different key to open the boot. -
#7the people who lower this should no it needs relocating so they will just do it, just mention it to them anyway, its only a lil tube i think so as al sed it can jus be moved out the way
-
#8pas pipe is only a problem if lowering 60mm or more. just bend it out the way if it really bothers you.
-
#9CHEERS FOR YA REPLIES, I RECKON I SHOULD JUST GET A MK1 SPOILER JUST FITTED TO THE BOTLID AND FILLING THE HOLES IN THE REAR WINDSCREEN WITH GROMITS, BESIDES SHOULDNT REALLY SEE THE GROMITS UNDER THE SPOILER, SHOULDN'T COST MUCH FOR A BODY SHOP TO FIT THE SPOILER SHOULD IT????
-
#10buy my vts spoiler 30 squid! plus p n p

#11i need a posy blue one, cheers though
-
#12you found the CAPS LOCK button then?

#14i went to a local place and got a quote on just spraying a spoiler, he quoted me £80, think hes mugging me of!
-
#15i was £80 to get mine sprayed and fitted! best to shop around, or to do the prep work yourself.
-
#16yeh i'm sure if i look around enough i'l get it cheaper, just cant find a posyblue anywhere
-
