This may sound like a stupid question, but I want to unconfuse myself once and for all lol! Now i've bought a Piper x induction kit, and i've had lots of opinions.

Some say that an induction kit is gunna put a bigger hole in my pocket in regards to fuel consumption but other say it's a load of rubbish....what's true and what isn't?

It may be a stupid question, but I'm not one for knowing about engines and such like lol!

    + or - 1-2 mpg

ah right ok It's just that I haven't put mine on yet, but I wanted to know whether it was really worth it for the increased amount of fuel i would be using lol

you will probs tend to use more fuel coz no doubt you will be booting it to hear the induction noise thats what I found from the first few weeks of having mines on

and you'll probably loose a bit power because of where it is.

    same lol

tbh you wont notice the difference with the induction kit petrol wise, only difference your notice is maybe a nice tone, but there again thats also hit n miss

they do tend to use a very similar amount of fuel, but as stuoptvts mentioned you will be giving it full trottle more to hear the induction noise, this will make most of the difference to your fuel consumption as your driving style will change.

induction kit will make no difference in fuelling, the ecu controls the fuel.

as said its all about wanting to hear the noise and using ur heavy foot more often.
