i was speaking to somene about throttle bodies and that and they suggested that i should get rid of the injectors and replace it with carbs and then add the throttle bodies with a stand alne ecu.Is there any thing else i'd have to do such as repace pistons etc.

is this a load of s**t that is'nt possible or is this something that anyone has done and would it be a better way of doing.

    please let me know.

p.s he also said it could increase it by 80 bhp

I was reading an article in retro cars which reckoned that fitting carbs is a great way to increase horsepower. Sorry, may not be any help to you just thought id make a comment.

On a vtr you can ditch the ecu and go on bike carbs with a distributor for some good increases, it does get a bit thirsty on petrol though. If you can live with the extra fuel costs it can be quite good value as far as power increases and sound go.

Throttle bodies still require injectors, I think your mate may be a bit confused between carbs and bodies.
