tbh craig it would be better to travel to another bodyshop and get it sprayed there mine only cost 30 quid so its not really worth making a mess of it (not saying that you would make a mess of it lol) or have a nosey on the tinternet for a sprayshop that will allow you to send it to them by post and they send it back

does it come primed? if not clean over with some white spirit to remove any polish or anything. Two coats with grey plastic primer, wet sand with high grade wet and dry paper. Couple of coats with colour and if smooth a couple of very light coats with lacquer. Piece of piss but if you have never painted before use something scrap to learn how paint works etc...

sweet will have ago does it need to be gray plastic primer?
  8. #8
no but its going to be more beneficial (i.e easier to cover with the silver paint) than say using black, but no reason not to use another colour of plastic primer if you have some

ok so how many coats of the artic silver will it need? and should i smooth in between coats?

when i did my grille i did 3 or 4 coats of colour just to be sure all patches were covered.. theres no limit mate just until you think it looks right

only smooth between primer coats, 2 coats should be enough.like scott said apply 2or3 thin top coats making sure the grill's dry between coats to insure theres no over spray..
