Stripping out - carpet problem

  1. #1
i know it sounds odd, but i have pulled the rear seats out, and i want to just cover up the showing metal, what would i use just general carpet, or mdf and carpet ??? ( i have searched but couldnt find anything) thanks

can make an mdf floor and cover in carpet or just paint in hammerite like track cars

lik already said you could jst paint it the same colour as the rest of the car??

Or if you do want it carpeted, either jst carpet the metal thats showing up using glue and make sure its all snug to the floor as i no its all flat, or make a false floor out of mdf to go to where the bottom of the rear bench would attach and carpet that

Personaly, i would go for gettin some checker plate put on, would look good

Checker plate would look tacky as f00k IHMO.

Get some carpet used for audio installs and glue it over the metal work. Its pointless stripping the weight out of the seats to then double it with MDF!

Well thats your opinion, but can also look good if done properly, plus unlike carpet, its not going to rip, get staind and if its dirty jst wipes clean

    And thats your opinion.

It does scuff easily though, and untreated aluminum can discolour/oxidise.

I really don't like to see it as a styling material, I put it along side lexus lights and Halfords styling shit. I think 3 spokes are higher up the style chain than checker plate! lol

But if we all liked the same things it would be a boring place.

you've taken the weight out - leave it out.

spray the interior all the same colour - sorted
