Need Help With alloys

   was aiming to spend around 200-300 on some alloys for my metallic blue 1.1 desire wanted 16'sw but tyre prices are a bit steep , been looking for months now and havnt found anything that stood out as being worth the money , someone down the road from me has some 17" wolfrace hybrid shadow ones i think there called , good condition with 4 new tyres , there wanting 300 but thats the top of my budget and not sure they would fit without rubbing. could do with some advice on them and if anyone knows anyone or were i can get some good ones for my price range.

   jimo - just to re-add that i didnt want 17"'s ,but there is some available. ,
   i considered vtr rims (know of someone seling some good nick ones for decent price but no tyres.) but wanted something that stands out and dosnt look "standard" like imo vt* rims do , thanks for comments so far , keep em coming!

   seen some white vtr's on ebay , but seem to be the common choice and want something that stands out a bit more , has anyone got pic of a blue saxo with white vtr's on?

    thought about 15"'s and suppose the money i would save on them and tyres and stuff could pay to lower it,but havnt seen any 15"'s for sale anywere within my price range that are something i like, there were some 15" ripspeed ones in halfords for £200 new with tyres that are a light silver colour that i was considering. i think its whatever comes along first to split it between 15's or 16's but 17's were there justy because there the only thing thats come along so far and caught my eye. has anyone on here fitted 17's to a 1.1 or seen someone who has lol and if so can you show me some pics?. thats for the advice so far it helping

    I wouldent put a 1.1 on 17s, It will handle like a bag of spaners & take all week to get to 30mph.

    in that case im considering 15"'s and lower it by 50mm all round , however choice is limited in my price range from what iv been looking at , cheepest with tyres i found were some ripspeed ones for £200 heres the link -

    Mate, ive got some 15 inch tsw black ice, look nice on saxo's 3 wheels have kurbing other 1 is good condtion, and they all got brand new 195/45/15's put on them the other month.. and i woudt get ripspeed alloys not very well known to be honoust.. i can send you some pics of mine, and i want £230 delivered or £190 collected from south london.

    Nice , im watching them now but the 2 bad tyres are a bit off putting as well as postage costs , would you be able to get some new tyres to replace the worn f1's and i can pm my postcode if you can try to get a better delivery quote

    Dont want 17'' on a saxo.. dont ride nice, espically if you are going lowered even 40mm-50mm

    ok , will see what prices etc come back off them though just as an option , what do people think i should do then , the ones from halfords/ripspeed or some second hand ones (probz 15" tsw black ices or Catalunyas) ?
