Do you have to take the whole head off? Or can you just slide the cam out and slot in a new one??

Sorry for the random question but my cars due a cambelt as its hit 65k so thought i may aswell cam it whilst im at it and get it done...

Well my dad will, but i just wanted to know before i ask him to do it...

firstly it has one cam, not cams, if you have cams, there for a VTS.

i was told u can do it in place, i had a silver top roller rocker single plug engine, i couldnt get it out from the rollers, and u have to loosen engine mount and tilt engine, its a load of shit.

jsut remove head, new gasket, new bolts, new camblet, lots done at one time, easy peasy.

Ensure they are run in correct to manufacterers reccomendations, or your asking for problems.
