1.1 converted to a vts, i have problems, please help.

   Hi all, i recently had my 1.1 upped to a vts and i am having problems, the dam battery won't charge.
   
   I bought another altonator from another vts, fitted it and its still not re-charging. Its really beginning to do my tree in as you can expect. i have spent all this money but not been able to drive the dam thing.
   
   Any ideas at all? any ideas will be very appreciated and given rep for.

   You probably already checked this but is the battery all in good working order...???
   
   FYI - My sisters boyfriend did this and he got nothing but problem after problem.

   what problems did he encounter? and i have two batteries that i switch between. when one dies. lol

   i am putting my money on a wire that goes to the starter motor. check that, i had that prob with a conversion i done and it was that wire, id forgetting to put it on.

   first thing do you have a ign light when you put the ign on ?

   mates just had the problem that his new alternator wouldnt charge the battery.
   
   turned out theres some different wattage / ampage (dont ask me im no sparky)
   variations in all the VTS / GTi.

   i have checked the two wires comin from the alternator and they are on. I can drive the car but it just does not charge it. What would you suggest i do? Thanks!

   it was the wire after all that, it had split. thanks ppl
