vts decat pipe

    Can anyone tell me wot are the performance increases and noise increase after putting a decat pipe on a ph2 vts?
    Also are there any lamda sensors which will need sorting out.

    if you have a mk2 sax then the lambarda sensor is on the manifold i think, i had no probs with mine. the loudness was increased but not alot although i got a raspy kinda noise like a mk2 XR2!!!!not cool

    yeah the mk2's have the cat in the mainifold but some of the mk2's have them under the car like the mk1's.

    you wont notice a great deal of difference with the de-cat alone but if its a manifold too then you should notice a better increase.

    it will sound slightly louder and if you have a large exhuast it may pop alot too.

    i don't have a manifold on mine dan, and when i re-fit the decat pipe after the mot it does feel slightly quicker. agree you will benefit more from a manifold too. mine also sounds louder too.

    ah ive never just taken the de-cat off mine and had a chance to feel the difference. i put full system, de-cat and manifold on all at the same time.

    i aint loaded at all mate lol

    i had the money at the time and thought fuck it i'll get everything at once, also put a piperx viper on at the same time lol.

    thats why im skint at the moment, spent all my cash on the car.

    tell me about it mate. i swear that fucking car dips my wallet when i'm not looking. everytime i drive it something else goes wrong with it. lol, the joys of owning a french car!

    i wouldnt mind at all mate, shows im doing something right.

    for me its roll cage, re-trim/buckets,cams & re-map.

    oops, i forgot the konig buckets, stripped rear seats, single wiper, new exhaust, vts lump with eventually a 'charger, etc etc etc etc etc etc. lol the joys of modifying. still, i'd rather that than drive some of the standard shite that's on the roads nowadays.

    im also thinking of removing the rear spoiler too. if i had the cash id also turbo/charge it.

    cheers guys not only have u answered my question but u'v listed a lot of things i should think bout doin to my car as well. already skint due to just having a gearbox rebuilt and nu clutch so will have a while to wai tho. my cat is under the car after the manifold as its a 2000 ph2.

    this is going to be a really stupid question but can u run a deact with the standard exhaust or is it more of a benefit to the car to have a s/s exhaust and decat fitted
