Springs again (v.quick answer needed)

   Which way up do they go? Retard question i know. But the spring coils get closer together at one end. does this go at the top or bottom when in the strut. I thought it was at the top but theres writing on the spring and it would be upside down if it were at the top.

   Yes the writing is normally meant to be the right way up, and ive always fitted them with the closer coils at the bottom

   where it coils together is the bottom, usually got writing on.
   
   One of my koni springs didnt so took it back off after i noticed when i was bored and drunk at 12 at night
