Hi All,
I'm new to this forum and have been reading with interest.
I've got a 2000 W Reg Saxo VTR. It was standard when i got it about 2 months ago and so far the only mods I have made is adding a performance sportex back box to beef it up a bit. I have changed the petrol cap for an alloy one which looks great for £10 from ebay, brand new too. I also bought and fitted this weekend a Sony CDX-GT620U CD player which is pretty smart. I'm looking for some advice on the cleaning & polishing. As the car is 8 years old if does have the odd age related mark and scratch here and there particually on the bonnet. I'm currently using Turtle Wax ICE Synthetic Wash & Polish and while they are both great and easy to apply and leave a fairly good shine I'm sure there is something better out there. The car's colour is metalic silver and I wash & polish on a weekly basis. The polish is a clear synthetic oil and can be applied to bumpers and trim too without leaving white marks. I spend a lot of time looking after my saxo so was hoping for some advice on a wash, wax/polish etc and some decent cloths to use...Auto Glym seems to be popular on here. Also my tyres are the standard VTR wheels and while I would love to change them I can't afford to at the moment. 2 of them are more or less in 100% condition however the other 2 are slightly kerbed and bubbling which I know will eventually end up coming off. What is the best way and cheapest way to make these wheels look as good as possible. While I'm writing this bible and probably boring you all by now what other mods would you make. I've also thought about having it lowered but not sure of the cost.
Cheers for reading...
