   I am gona re-spray the whole interior of my car again soon.
   
   im gonna start fresh with new door cards and dash but this time i want them completely smoothed and painted with laquer.
   
   what is the best way to achieve this? i have heard it is to sand as much of the grain off the plastic as poss, then use a high build primer. but wont the primer flake in time?
   
   im confused.com

   rite i own my own body shop and heres a quick guide to do plastics
   
   -rub the plastics down with 320 dont go any lower than that as it would make the plastics 'furry'
   
   -then get from ur local motor factors plastic primer this sud be just a clear liquid and u can rub in to with a cloth or spray it on with a spray gun (no need 4 harder or any of that its a 1pk)
   
   -once the plastic primer is on blast away with the 2pk primer (high build) give it a good 3-4 coats make sure u leave it to flash off between coats (ie leave it 7-10 mins depending on the temp)
   
   -wen the primer is dry rub down with 320 again u make rub through some places but dont worry just dont go to mad lol, once the whole thing is rubed prime again with the high build.
   
   -once dry again rub with 500 dry until smooth then finish in 800 wet make sure u get all the edges.
   
   -dry the panel ur going to paint and blow off to make sure no dust or water is left on it and panel wipe wipe on wipe off.
   
   -and there u are ready to paint and full ur boots
   
   hope this helps and if u think it may need primed 3 times do it coz its worth it!

    yeah tak rags are great, better than spirit wipe. gets all the dust off without the wet mess
