Billie sport/sprint - Kam racing faulkner spring?

    Hi,

I brought a Bilsitein Sport kit a long time ago to go with with some 20mm Eibach springs. As I understand it I therefore have B6 fronts and B8 rears?

I've managed to get some 15" Pro race wheels for a good price but I think when I get around to fitting them the car will look like its a bit on stilts??

I was therefore thinking I may need to change the springs, I dont want the hassel and expense of building coilovers and can't afford to change the torsion bars so I think fitting the 155lb faulkners -35mm would be a good choice? Not too low so it should handle well, not too stiff to make the car understeer with the std torsion bars and not an expensive change really?

BUT, will they work on the B6 Sports I have up front or do I need B8's** or maybe even change all 4 dampers for GrpN's - but how will GrpN's work on 19mm TB's, I would guess they would want 21mm TB's??

**(B6's I thought were the same damping rate as B8's so what is it that makes them unsuitable for lowered springs?)

    Any thoughts and suggestion appreciated.

    Cheers Rich.

Its the other way round. B8 fronts and b6 rears. 150lb springs will be fine with the b8 dampers.
The b8 front shocks are shortened units which makes them suitable for lowered cars over b6 shocks.

So a good setup would be B8 wiht Faulkners 150's on the front. B6's on the back.

Gonna look into getting a setup in September sometime

I have that setup with standard torsion bars and 24mm ARB and its spot on for the road, bit soft for the track. Kam would the b8's handle 200lb springs or would it be best to upgrade to group n's?
