All power but little noise

Can someone please recommend a sports exhaust system (stainless steel) that will give me power gains but hardly any noise gains?

i do a lot of motorway driving and it starts to get on my tits after a while!

    cheers

to keep the noise down you really want a twin/three box system not straight through.

resonation is worse with no silencer but a rear box i found.

so look for something that is a catback with a centerbox aswell as a backbox.

is there really that much difference getting a stainless steel systems as apposed to a standard system?

depends on the spec really, obviously you need different exhaust bores/tuning for different engine specs etc..

helping an engine breathe does help a little. when i had only my btb on my saxo it ran better mpg and was a bit quicker.

ok well im thinking it might just be easier to keep the standard exhaust on. if i was to put an enclosed induction kit on would i get a nice sporty sound upon acceleration but quite a quiet sound cruising along a motorway?

enclosed like a bmc is very quiet, a raceland+ green is a bit noisyer.

ok cheers for your help ryan, it's hard to make a decision when you cant try each one out in turn. do you have any idea how much i should expect to pay for a bmc enclosed? and im guessing it helps the engine breathe better so in turn should give a slight gain??

as with all light mods you wont notice alot.

if on a budget check ebay/classifieds here (once you have 100 posts) and see if theres any 2nd hand floating about.

best thing is to go to a meet and see what other people have and yo might like.
