busted cat

   my cat is rattling like a beast on low revs and idle so i'm guessing its hit summin and broken the brick on the inside and so is completely screwed.
   but i was just wondering if it still works. I dnt spose anyone knows if it still keeps the emissions down?
   
   coz i'm thinking if it still works i can get a decat and then just put up with the rattling at MOT time.

   might be the same as mine mate - just a loose heat shield. if its that its easily welded back on.

   had it checked out today while i was getting new tyres fitted and the brick is smashed to bits so it will defo be a decat going on mid nxt week
