these are the things that are supposed to decrease fuel consumption though..
they make a horrid noise too apparantly
  3. #3
no point unless your running other mods that would justify more fuel being pumped in

ive heard there shit and can make the car run worse, get a gmc fuel pressure regulator if you want more fuel pumped in. but as scott said other mods should be done 1st.

and sometimes it wont make a difference unless you have other mods to compensate, ie cams, and a remap, as the ecu screws out the extra fuel the pressure gives on a standard ECU so they arnt used for power gains unless your car is mapped to the new pressure.

totally fucked my escort, wouldnt get another one at all. wasnt set correctly and didnt allow thw fuel to return to tank, ended up shagging and injector and causing fuel to pour out into head instead of a fine mist, ended up in exhaust manifold as raw unburnt fuel, nearly blew car up!!!!!!

it was set up correctly on my vtr,but just used petrol.i told .you that i am not gonna sell you it cos there shit.you would regret fitting it

saxoal i think he means the fse power boost valve, but no what you mean, the ecotek valve, total rubbish, sounds crap and a waste of money.wanted a fse boost valve on mine but dont do em(2001 vtr).something to do with not havin a return fuel line.need to look into getting a fuel pressure regulator, superchip couldnt do my car coz it started pinking(under fueling)need more fuel, been told to get a unichip tho.

oh, i thought they made a horrid whooshing type of noise...

the way the boost valves work is they increase the fuel pressure so when the fuel is injected at the standerd rate (coz thats wot they are desined on... stndrd car specs) the mist is more finer, the effect is a more efficient/smoother burning of fuel & there for more juice will go in, as it is got rid of quicker, also creates a smoother throttle responce. The boost valve cant tell the injectors to inject at faster rates so... mapped correctly they do work! but a fuel reg. is a better option id say.
