can mesh be sprayed?

    as above my car has silver mesh on it but i want it black, easier than replacing it, can it be done though or will it look shit? cheers

    It can be done mate, only thing is after a while you might start seeing bits of sliver coming through, due to stone chips scratching the paint off. Well thats what happened to mine anyway. But it dont take long to touch them up and get it looking good again.

    Yeah i did mine, its in my progress thread, just get a few coats of laquer, give it a bit of extra protection!

    Suggestion spray the mesh with stone chip guard you can buy it in black.

    i know you can buy it in black but it would be cheaper to buy a can of paint wouldnt and easier i would of thought. cheers though

    not really cos wen i do things to it ive take pics but never really bothered to post em up like cbalol its changin all the time as well tryin out different things. what engine mods you done cos im after more power?

    Just K&N dude, got straight through exhaust aswell. Thats about it lol. May get a 4-2-1 if i can get hold of a decent one. What you done to yours?

    pipercorss filter with a cold air feed hose. wanna change tht to a standard box with a green panal filter. powerlow cat back s/s exhaust lookin for a de-cat at the mo as well as a 4-2-1 wen i have sum doller.

    wire brush it first to get some kind of keyed surface, then use an acid etch primer and finally paint and laquer
