ive got a janspeed 4-2-1 manifold on my 2002 vts. my car is lowered about 40mm but i keep catching the manifold on the floor as it sits really low, ive now caught it that much that a good quarter of the pipe bore has been crushed. do all 4-2-1 manifolds sit as low or is it just the janspeed? is there any other manifolds that sit higher? if so which is the best one? cheers!

#2ive got a miltek and caught it once from parking to much forward over a curb, the curb wasnt that high but am down 50mm.
-
#3mine is slammed and i have a raceland which seems to be fine, the cat is the lowest part of my car
-
#4i had a 4-1 and was 50mm
never hit it once
and that hung loooow
just go steady over the bumps -
#5i was 40mm and had a gmc which is still the lowest sitting if i am right?
mine always looked like it was going to hit but never. And janspeed all ones i seen sit high, you not just driving too fast over bumps, probs the first thread ever? where someones 40mm and catches all the time, lower strut brace sat lower then my manifold and never really caught that either, -
#6yea gmc is lowest (same as the piper basically but piper is stainless)
heard of oars of lower brace problems but not a mani -
#7Raceland sits well clear of the deck.
My GMC 4-1 was ok when i was on H&R 30mm drop -
#8sounds like the car is lowered more than 40mm or you cane it over raised bumps in the road.
4-2-1s don't hang as low as the 4-1 and at 40mm you shouldn't really have a problem -
#9ive got 40mm spax springs on standard dampers and had the torsion bar dropped by ricky p to match. it sits really low honestly. lower than the strut brace and the decat pipe even. 180 quid for nowt lol. its proper fucked. it wasnt done over a speed bump or owt like that, there is a road near me thats massive hill and at the bottom it comes to a junction but it a bit bumpy. its right near a junction so i wasnt goin fast or owt. im well pissed off now. does the race land not drop as low then? or any other manifolds? cheers for help

#10how low my piper 4-1 hung

and i was 50mm
never hit it once
allthough on a dyno i was resting on it so it rubbed through my heatwrap -
#11thats well higher than mine seriously lol!? i cant put pics up coz im shit wiv comps but seriously mine looks just as low if not lower? im really mad about it coz its the first weekend ive had the car in 8 month that the car has run right wiv out the engine management light on and an a4 sheet of fault codes! its fucked now. is there another make of 4-2-1 that sits higher for a similar price or cheaper? i bought it at the time coz i dint no about any others?
-
#12there are several makes of them
supersprint raceland (piper and gmc i think)
are you sure its on right if its so low? -
#13its missing the bolt that fastens it to the gear box.i could not get one to fit anywhere? u think that might be the cause? i heard the race lands are pretty cheapish?
