C2 VTS gear knob on saxo

    Does anyone know if a C2 VTS gear knob will be a straight fit on a saxo?

    didnt fit mine was a bigger shaft but i have mk1. i sikaflexed it on and its solid has been for months

    Oh ok, does it look good in yours? I saw one on a mates vts and i think there awesome, more modern and hardwearing. S
    o the shaft on the saxo was too big for the hole?

    no sorry the other way around the gear knob was to big for the shaft (confused!) but it stuck on fine

    Any pics mate? interested in doin this. Did your gear stick have the white plastic end to it?

    if the holes too big for the shaft , just do what i did to fit a 106gti knob, wrap loads of gaffa tape round the end of the stick to thicken it up

    Ye that sounds like a plan. I have my ipod install in the change pocket so if and when i need to remove that part i will want to pull the knob off again, so temporary fix wud be best. Guess its just down to packing it good

    Picked up my C2vts gear knob today and its freakin awesome!
    Thorts of retro fitting are not needed on the mk2 shaft as its straight swap, just as tight as the standard.
    Has the same gear pattern, very solid, cold alloy metal. Brings the interior rite up to date. Also the knob itself is at a better angle. the original 'leather' gaiter fits over it as well!
    Defitintely recomended! £32.80+VAT.

    Will post a pic once my birthdays done,only way i can afford anything for her these days!
