i wana build a new battery cable from the back to the dash, into a kill switch and back to the engine bay.

what sorta amperage cable do i need ?

my other idea, and preferd method is somehting like a junction box, like this but one that is not joined, what would that be called, its not a junction as its a break i want.

    yes please dude.

all i want is a way of breaking the cable, short or using cripms and tape.

i dont see why you have to is it just cos you dont have enough cable?

run from battery box in the back to the cut off switch under the dash, then through the bulkhead to a box like you've put up top, and feed the engine bay from there

yer i dont have enough cable. only stuff i can find is like £7 a meter

but come to think of it, i dont need to replace all of it do i, i only need to go from switch to bay, as i can use wats there to get to switch from batt

where is your battery gonna be located?

lay the cable out and see how much you've got

    batter is behind pass seat.

there will be enough to get to dash if i pull it through from the engine bay.

then i jsut need a 2 meeter length to go from switch to the bay.

whats this about an alternator connector on the switch, i dont have one, mine is jsut a £5 cut of switch. non fia

    lol fair one.

well i really want mine for security as its not the safest car lol.

so not to fussed about its wiring so long as it stops the battery

Some bmw E30s had a battery in the boot and a nice fat cable running to the engine bay. Its pretty easy to remove too, only cost me a few quid to get one from the scrapyard then i bought the terminals from here
