Engine Idle Speed

   I just bought a 2000 Saxo 1.1 SX. The engine idle speed is just over 1000 RPMs. Is this the appropriate speed?
   
   I've never had a car that idled this high. Is it normal?

   Cold. Rock-hard steady at 1050 RPMs

   its not that far out tbh
   
   mine does a fair bit
   
   
   the rest of the time it idles at around 1750ish
   of revs from around 500-2000
   its nailed lol
