Which tyre. please vote

As my ek9 has snow tyres on at the moment, im going sideways, in the dry!

now i need new tyres asap and would like peoples opinions and comments if they have used any of the above.

i love the F1s but they wear quite quickly and the sidewall is a bit soft. so want to know about the others too.

    thanks

    Hey pal.

I havent voted for any (had Proxes before and didnt like them!!)

I currently run a tyre called "Roadstone" they are made int he same factorey as Michellens, even have the Michellen man on the side wall for the wear markers.

Cost me 35 each for 195-45-15's and they are VERY grippy, not so much in the wet but i dont fly round liek a nutcase in the wet.

VERY good value for money if you ask me as they grip very well in the dry and im all standard onmy car and it grips better then my old lowerd saxo on proxes!

Just maybe another option for you as i no those are expensive!

Have had proxes, michelin pilots & F1s and the F1s take the biscuit for me. Although i havent tried the new proxes 4 so cant comment on those.

im on bridgestone potenzas at the mo they seem really good compared to the proxes i used to have

weel im not too fussed about the price of these tyres so its not the deciding factor. just the tyre really.

i looked at proxes TX4? anyone know of these?

michelin pilots cant knock um neva gone for anythin else, grip well and last a fair while.

I'm using uniroyal rain tyres and believe it or not they're pretty good in the wet as well as the dry, I love them

theyre ok mate, not sure what the performance is like, id guess its very similar to the t1'rs and s's. Tread patten is ok though

Parada Spec 2's are shocking in the slighest bit of wet. No good with being half way through August now, winters fast approaching.

I've had my Eagle F1's for around 9k now, still a fook load of tread in them, and they provide insane amounts of grip. Roundabouts and hairpins will become your new best friend! And they come with rim protection too.

Uniroyal Rainsports are very good too, had them on my old car for awhile!

I'll second that. Yoko parada 2's are where it's at lol.
Just don't cane it in the wet...

first day i put my parada's on it was wet and i was lsiding everywhere! now theyre worn in, they grip in the dry is emmence but they squeel too much for my liking

Also the sidewalls are shite with them, they have worn and chewed a little bit after one bash.

I had toyo proxes CF1's before them and i highly rate them, in fact id rate them over the proxes t1's

    none of the above!!

    uniroyal rainsports

    amazing in wet
    very good in dry

hard enough compound that it wont melt in a week like some tyres do!
suitabe for the odd track day if need be aswell!

    wouldnt really reckomend the t1rs
i had a set there not bad tbh but i melted them on a 1.1

    Yoko all the way!

    thanks for the comments guys.

still debating though, im heading towards the F1s i think

My Falken ziex 912s are awesome in the dry and in the wet, defo getting them again

Also... Nankangs are very good tyres and often underrated!!
They are cheap also for a performance tyre
my mate has them on his ek9 and it handles like nothing else
  19. #19
    uniroyal rainsports for me to!
  20. #20
    get some nankangs. no dont..

eagles f1 gs-d3 all the way...
  21. #21
You missed Nankang off the list..

I'm actually running Kuhmo Ecsta Sport tyres on my 1.9 GTi alloys that are currently on my Saxo.

I had Yoko's before and quite liked them.. just pricey!

    eagle f1's.

much better than the toyo's i had.
  23. #23
Come on, go for the Yok's.
Be true to the JC reputation.

Seriously i run them on the Type R and they are the best tyres i have owned,
a good asymmetric tyre pattern means great levels of grip.

I thought Paradas were excellent in the dry and good in the wet, just shit when it was damp!
  25. #25
Yokohama's are my choice.... not too great in the wet though.
  26. #26
i would go for yokos, but they are apparantly pants in the wet and being england, thats quite often.

i think its goin to be F1s

    thanks for the comments everyone
