Use plastic primer then if your using a light colour use a white primer, otherwise the colour wont be very deep and will look dull compared to the rest of the car.

You can also get a hold of clear plastic primer then do a coat of normal primer, that will sort it!

I was looking to do the same to my posi blue one, havent ever done nowt like this before though so would it be worth just paying extra and gettin a bodyshop to do it? After all i dont wanna end up with a two tone car!

Ive finished one side and the front bumper now ... the front and the rear half looks good, cant see a difference, but I painted the front half with a can with a different batch no. and its totally different am gonna go back tonight and try and sand it down and spray it again.
