power loss from back box

   is this true..... i am currently working and are going to get the supersprint one that alot of people have... due to not being able to afford the whole system yet would just the back box lose me power and also would it fit straight onto a 1.1 centre section... i would save for the whole system but i would end up wasting it on Mcdonals

   just sticking on a backbox wont increase performance cos your still restricted from by the oe manifold and center section.
   
   cant see why it would reduce performance, if it did it wouldn't be at all noticeable be like 1 brake max.

   any performance part you add can reduce performance simply if you don't fit it correctly!
   
   In exhaust terms, if the different parts of the exhaust. ie, Backbox>Center Section>Decat>Manifold are not completely sealed using exhaust putty and using the correct clamps etc, you'll get air leaks, which can cause power loss...
   thats from my own experience anyway

   It wouldnt surprise me if you got a smidge of a bhp increase but doubt you'll see a loss.
