Front brake pads come with new warning wire sensor leads

   Never had these warning wires on the pads i fitted previously. Will they be a problem? Think i remember reading that people cut them off. Whats the crack with them?

   Cut them off. I had this with some Mintex pads.

   Just by the by, how does the wire actually work? i.e. if you were to setup something adhoc?

   doesnt the wire pass a current through it when your pads are low? setting a light off on dash?

   Well in my head once the disc contacts the wire it would ground the circuit, thus completeing a loop and flicking a light on or something, but im no sparky so i dunno if thats right or not

   yeh, when the metal from the wire, touches the metal from the disk, it will make a spark, and cause a small current to run through it, thus flicking a light on
