rocker cover paint?

    will it need to be heat resistant paint or will it be okay just to use normal spray paint? also will i need a new gasket once iv taken it off?

    gaskets are about 5quid so for the price you mite aswell put a new 1 on

    its the same kind of paint used for brake calipers mate so if you have any of that that will work fine, but yer as lee says it has to be heat resistant.

    i just used hamarite smooth paint of me callipers and this was okay on them so would that be okay? although i did use the same stuff on me manifold cover in white and it just turned a yellowy browny tinge lol

    i did this to my manifold cover too lol, took it off now as it quicly went brown. However, i used the same hammerite on the rocker cover and t came out really good. I did this a couple of months ago now and its still looking good

    ye i did mine last night/this morning with hammerite smooth silver, prised of the citroen badge, then heated it up and stuck it back on after painting, put two coats of hammerite, waited 8 hours then a coat of laquer , now im leaving it for like 5 days just to be safe.
    My gasket was nackerd so i ordered one from www.gsfcarparts.com, £4.60 delivered - nice one
