People using boost on their saxo...
    What intercooler do you use?
the only ones iv seen are the gmc one with rad and fan ..obviously this will be the most hassle free and without doubt a mint intercooler.
the cituning turbo intercooler...do you need a smaller rad for this? different fan?
any info appreciated..any setups that include a sorted rad and fan with intercooler....
    cheers

use 106 diesel radiator setup and buy an intercooler that will fit.....hey presto.

gmc sell header tanks to suit aswell.

Or if using vts the core is the same as the diesel one so you dont need to go down the route of the header tank.

Easiest is like said, get a seperate i/c and use seperate rad with fan. If its vts you should get away with standard fan setup, if its vtr you'll have bought a new fan to blow infront of the radiator in order to gain space for a turbo setup anyways.

think the gmc rad/intercooler is too much money? not worth it?

Get what you pay for at the end of the day, the gmc rad combo has been used in numerous boosted cars with no problems.

If you want to do it on the cheap go down the scrap yard and get one from another boosted car.

It'll look closer to factory fitted imo, not sure what it costs 950stg rings a bell correct me if i'm wrong, it is quite pricey if you're on a budget, and there's nothing wrong with going the other route so thats why i didnt go with the gmc option.

its over a grand with vat. i suppose its the best option, just a very pricey one.
while im on the subject of boost...is there any advantage of putting a dump valve on a supercharged lump?
there is a las on SSC who has one on his fairly high spec'd supercharged 16v, so its not like its just for shits and giggles...any point to them?

bmw like I am using does the job

there are all sorts of OE items that will fit, ive got a few Mercedes ones that will fit in the front bumper quite nicely

this is a Pace upgrade for an escort RS turbo used with a honda civic rad and the fan from an Astra G

or you can go custom, this was made for me by Pro alloy to the exact design i wanted and was cheaper than the GMC item

they also made me a header tank thats and Escort RS item but has been shortened by 2'' and has the pipes on the side instead of the front

tweeqd - how much was that rad-ic combo? if its custom do you think they could make another?
GMC combo is not cheap lol

You do get a fan + header tank with the gmc one.

That looks huge on the front of the ax

If spending a fair wedge of money I'd have a ProAlloy one made up, they're absolutely brilliant from all angles, great worksmanship and even better function.

    I got mine from G R Performance.

    Email them on grperformance@live.co.uk.

It fit's with the standard rad and bumper without cutting and will be fine upto 300bhp.

it was £820 for the pair but they will make it to any size you want, i sent dean from SSC over there and he made up what he wanted out of cardboard and emailed them the dimensions, 1 week later he had his new cooler and rad they can also supply spal fans

That’s a fair price considering they are custom made.

Yeah I have seen Dean’s project thread, very impressive. When you looking at getting yours up and running?
