VTR/VTS rear suspension differences?

  1. #1
Hi, Can someone tell me what (if any) differences there are between the VTR and VTS rear suspension?

Thought they were the exact same.. but only 90% sure and need confirmation before I decide to buy a complete rear beam taken off a VTR to fit to a VTS

    Thanks..

vtr doesnt have abs so would need to use your vts hubs not a hundred percent sure if the trailing arms are the same, i know the hubs are defo a lot different cos of the abs sensors

VTR's dont have ABS, however i ''think'' it was an optional extra back in the day when Citroen were making Saxo's.

why do you need ABS on the rear wheels?

Fitting a VTR rear axle will be fine.
The wheels will fit the same without any trouble.

My x Reg VTR had ABS

Im not doubting that they can come with ABS.
If you can buy parts for rear ABS then im guessing its a genuine feature:

But I dont see the point on having rear ABS. The handbrake is for parking, not sliding round corners.

ARB is smaller on the VTR beam. VTS has 22mm and the VTR if i remember correctly only has 19 (might be 21mm, but definately smaller either way)

for abs to work you need to check the speed of all 4 wheels - to know if one is locked or not.
