ill keep it short and sweet but how much work would it take to put a MK1 VTR clock on a MK1 Desire?

hoping its just plug and play but very much doubt that.

Yeh pretty much, i belive you need to take the steering wheel off tho, i cant remember, if you can get your dial surrond off without removeing the steering wheel, then your good, and the like you said plug and play, but remember, the milage on a vtr clock will be differnt, and i dont think your rev counter on the new dials will work , not worth it imo lol

    plug and play

Steering wheel comes off with a Torx 50
then the 3 bolts on the dials,
    they slide out.
    unplug

    reverse for new ones.

not sure if the rev gauge will work but my mate did this in a base model civic for some vti clocks and the wiring loom had the correct plug for a rev gauge so he now has a working rev gauge

    everything will work.

its a straight swap. the loom in the cars are all identical.

when i changed to white dials in my car, i had to remove the needles and remember where they were with the car off with a photo, then just put them back, where they were
