#2Did you sand them between coats?
-
#3yup sure did but my mate said his did the same , He give it a fat coat of lacquer and it went smooth
-
#4Well laquer it up as standard and see what the results are.
-
#5its is it already has 3 coats of lacquer but how close you ment to spray it ? cos i dint exactly murder it with the lacquer
-
#6i'm not to sure tbh mate. I did one bit of spraying. As the last coat was drying i dropped the mirror cap and covered it in dust. Threw it in the road and swore alot. Good luck

#7Dunno if it's true but its worth a try. If not and it fails you can always get a new centre console from your scrappy or ebayQuote:spray the centre console, vents ect but there really ruff as in texture, My mate said "plaster" them in lacquer and they go smooth , is tht true?

#8when spraying make sure the temp in the room isnt to hot as the paint will almost dry instantly giving it that rough feel, make sure you hold the spray around 30cm away and use wet and dry between coats then same with laquer
-
#9normally the more laquer you use the smoother and shinier it gets
-
#10Btw can you tell by looking at it that the textures rough? Cos if not, is there much worry cos its not as if people are gonna go round stroking your console lol
-
#12how did you clean it am doing my centre console at the minuite and have read loads of different threads about using whitespirit as there already smooth or soapy water but i thought you had to key it using wet and dry paper or sandpaper to get the primer to stick is the wet and dry nessisary(sp)

#13Yes, i wasnt saying that people dont like smooth and tidy surfaces. I was just stating that if the texture of the console was rough but it didn't look at all bad and was only noticeable by the touch then there really isnt a need to be too concerned about it.
