heres the story i was out last night in my local town and when we went to go home we all got in my saxo vts where we all smelt a strong smell of petrol. my front passengers shined her phone in the foot well where petrol was literally pi**ing down from under the dash. after quickly aborting the car where we were. i rang the rac and when the guy came to look he said the fuel line which was running through the bulkhead and down the inside of the car had split and was dripping all over the fuses, relays and a whole heap of wires. he then told me not to drive the car and the fuel line should be on the out side of the car and is illegal to have them inside. so my question is has someone moddified my fuel lines and put them through the inside of the car. and secoundly why would someone want to do this. and what the f**k do i do now. help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#2id think long and hard about the safest way to do this mate.
is start by taking off the battery so there would be no chance of any sparks igniting the fuel
then id start stripping out the interior until you get to the fuel line and see where it is an where and why it has split.
your going to need to spend a far bit of time on this mate, its not going to be easy by the sound of things.
however it could just be the fuel return pipe that has come off and it leaking petrol into the car some how. -
#3If you have bought it from a dealer you may have some comeback. If bought privately then there is very little you can expect.
The alternative depends on whether you have insurance...
Find one of these.

Then apply these.

Joke, honest. -
#4its actually illegal to have the fuel lines on the outside of the car to my knowledge cos if they get hit by rubble on the road they would probably split and cause a major fire hazard
all saxo's/106's have the fuel lines running down the passenger side of the car but there very very tough so whatever has split yours must be quite sharp and have been rubbing away on it for a while tbh -
#5as above all 106/saxo fuel lines are inside the car mate
