decat pied? baffles?

   hi im thinking of decatting my y reg 1.1 forte, ive heard that u can use some exhaust part off a old vtr? also what exactly are baffles? im thinking ts something im the back box, been told them it makes your exhaust louder if u do? but it sounds like bollocks to me but i dont kno?

   if they are in my back box they are fucked "excuse the language" because my exhaust makes poppin sound when idling like its spitting........my engine is completly fine no bad smoke or nothing just a knakered back box and a bit louder than standard.......its got no outer rust............supersprint next

   Baffles are like a metal mesh that is used to absorb the sound, I used to have a backbox with a removable baffle on my 1.1, my god it was loud!!! Although if you want it louder again combine a backbox with a straight through centre pipe (SuperSprint are a good make) which will decat your car, improves performance slightly but makes it a hell of alot louder.

   i dont want it to loud just a bit at lower revs, its only a vtr back box will it be much louder?

    yeah proberly only one or two ponies nothing massive but by adding a decat it wont pass it mot so remember to keep your old cat and a week before mot put it back on yeah i have heard of the old petrol in the back box and burn the baffles this will make it slightly louder best bet is to go for the supersprint centre section 2 choices either race only which decats the car and takes away the silence or the road one which just takes away your silencer and bolts onto your normal cat got videos of both on my car

    just got my car back now from mot and having a cat on makes it so much quiter and sluggish of the mark honestly you can tell the difference so easily

    gonna check out them vids in a min n yea i kno its an mot failyer with it on, whats the cheapest decat for my car? reli aint arsde bout proformance just sound reli n may be the odd back fire? lol
