Polybush info/confirmation.

I'm looking to polybush my Mk2 VTS at the same time I fit my Konis.

Looking at Rally Designs they have AX and 106 listed, are these the same bushes for a Saxo?

I'm guessing I need the later type bushes for the rear beam?

Are the polyrace too harsh for road use?

    Cheers

i think mine are spot on make the car a bit vibraty on idle but handlings much better.

The powerflex ones have a little more give so if you want things to be stiffer without affecting the comfort significantly then pick those.

not sure on the part numbers for the polyrace but the ARBs and rear beams mounts on the 106 are different.

So basically only the front lower arm bushes are the same?

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get them without paying through the nose?!

I'll check your site now Kam, dunno if you do them or not?

we only do powerflex. The polyrace are on a list of suppliers to contact but won't happen for a month as we're quite tied up with other bits

kams cheap enough, best one you can get is the lower engine mount

Those are the right ones. The prices look fair to me. You will need the later type rear beam mount bushes if your car is a MKII version...

Just Powerflex is a few mor £££'s than Polyrace. My mate bought a VTS interior and found a Powerflex lower mount in the pocket on the back of a seat so I've nabbed that.

You sure the rear ones are right mate? Guess I should really ring Rally Design and find out.

get the rallydesign poly race's, very good bushes, very cheap.

the only different one is the front arb bush, which you need the powerflex one for.

The M12 rear beam bushes are universal, M10 only fit pre 1993 cars.

The only polyrace bits that fit are beam bushes and wishbone front bushes.

Cool, I had a feeling the front anti-roll bar was different. But thought the rear bushes would be the same.

Thanks for confirming and clearing that up for me guys.

I believe PJM is talking about the "race" ones. The ones you've linked in this thread are fine, as the front ARB on the 106 is the same as the VTS.

No Toad, the ones listed on the polyrace site are for mk1 106s with the arb on the wishbones, it's the end bush that goes between the wishbone and ARB.

    I'll repeat myself again.

The only Polyrace bushes that fit are the wishbone front bushes and rear beam bushes(M12)

I thought the MKI and MKII front suspension setups were the same. I thought it was the older 106 Rallyes which are different, no?

    No.

Most S1 106s have different shaped wishbones and bushes, with the anti roll bar bolting direct to the wishbone via a bush, no droplinks. The exceptions being XSi and rallye which use anti roll bars that bolt to the strut via vertically mounted droplinks, using stronger, thicker, different shaped wishbones. The AXs all use wishbone ARBs bar the GTi. The S2 106s, early base models(up to and inc 1.4) use wishbone ARBs, quicksilver and GTi use Droplink ARBs and thicker wishbones. Some later base model 106s use droplinks from what i've seen. As for saxos, 1.0, 1.1, 1.4 & 1.5d use Wishbone ARBs, Westcoast, furio, vtr & vts use droplink ARBs & thicker wishbones.

If you want to be picky, proper poverty spec cars don't even use ARBs, S1 106s and AXs especially. Some S2 106s and saxos don't have front or rear ARBs as standard either, although it's rare, non power steering 1.0s and the like.
