Saxo Gear Lever Thread

  1. #1
    Hi.
Iv just bought my first Saxo (pick up next friday) and was wondering if anybody knew what the thread was for the gear knob, 10mm or 12mm?
The reason being it has a ghastly blue ripspeed item on atm and it needs to be replaced with something less chav imediately.
    Thanks.
    Tim.

iirc, it doesn't have a thread, after market gear knobs are secured with little screws on saxo's. that are then covered up with a collar or the gaiter.

Im going to get a quaife nylon knob which is threaded so if the gear knobs are push fit ill have to get my tap and die set out

My knob is held on by bluetac.

Just use abit of glue, it'll be right.

To be honest, having the gear knob come off in my hand whilst on track is something I dont want happening

Ill just wait till I get the car, then see what needs doing

I replace my Gear Knob very easily. As said:

The Saxo Gear Knob is not screw-on but push-on so you can use some plastic adapters to make it fit into the gear stick. For mine i used some powerful glue called "Gorilla Glue" which expands once its dry and fills the space between the stick and the thread and it surely wont be moving anywhere now!
