if its for looks only i would spend a £130-150 quid more and get some of those budget coilovers mate and then all you need to do is sort the rear ride height to exactly how you want it and then lower the front to match. I think they are made by a company called Hottuning and can be found on ebay. Then you can get it just right and leave it for a looks only basis.

They will not be much good for handling but as you said looks only then shouldnt be a problem, watch the PAS pipe too it will have to be bent or it will split when going as low as your talking about.

And tbh atleast you will have some sort of uprated damping lol

£60 will get you 2 Cobra lowering springs. You could go for coilovers.... but if you want the cheaper option then use springs.

The thing with 60mm lowering springs and no damping worth talking about in order to control the increased spring rate is that it will just make your saxo feel shit probably to the point where you wished you had just spent a little more on a cheap kit with better damping. This would be even more important if you have had to pay someone to fit the springs for you, if you decide to uprate damping at a later date because you realise what a terrible mistake you have made then its going to cost you far more for labour than it would have done in the beginning to just get it right the first time.

the cheap coilovers are sold under a number of names but one thing they have in common is they are all shit.
We got a set on request for a customer and the springs were so soft the springs were completely coil bound.
The handling was decribed by the customer as borderline dangerous.
If you are going to go really low then you need a decent damper and spring setup. There are ways to get the car really without ruining the ride completely but its not the cheapest.

hmmm, like i said, for looks only. But by the sounds of it you still might end up in a tree with those budget coilover setups, its hard to say, like kamracing said, you cant really go low low low properly without spending big dolla bills.

ho wlow does the hpottuning kit actually go. as long as it is a minimumoff 60.as i said its only for looks guys.cheers for the replies 2

hottuning kit goes megalow mate waaay lower than 60mm.

edit : just looked on ebay, it says from 20mm to 110mm so very low in other words, if you put a saxo down 110mm you'll damage probably most of the car though, all steering parts will be stressed etc, driveshafts will run at shit angles etc etc

if you car is going to remain static then ok.
If not then you need to understand what being coil bound really means
