gearbox mount?

  1. #1
When i change gear i feel and somtimes hear a bang. When its in any gear, if i let off the accelarater for a few seconds then put my foot to the floor it joults and again bangs, the gearstick joults and u can feel it throughout the whole car, as it joults.

Sometimes really bad as if i jus hit sumthing

Would this be the gearbox mount?

    rep aswell

get a powerflex one off kam racing £25 makes car vibrate on idle abit, but when down shifting and up shifting it got rid of most the movement the car makes when changing on standard mount, deffo worth doing imo.

thats my plan, everytime sumthing breaks i always replace it with an uprated part

Im gonna check all my mounts today see which it is., i think it might possibly be the mount under the battery, but im not sure hmmm

i paid 107 for all mine, was a massive dik on doing wishbones, easy to get them off the car but had to cut teh metal sleeve in the wish bone to get them out took me a full day to do the lot, gearbox only took me 20 minutes from taking off car to chanign to back on car though.

Rear was a bit of a bitch aswel.

I had the gearbox mount on my vtr, i liked it. The vibrations got annoying on idle, made the dash rattle alot but when driving in anger it made it much more rewarding.

Havnt bothered with it on the vts, dont want to vibrate the dash apart again. Im having the beam mounts put on and will someday do the ones upfront as they did feel good on my vtr.

    personally i love the vibrations

i found the mount made my car feel more solid.
Its hard to explain but worth getting.

theres 3 mounts altogether i think, one is under the ecu, one under the battery and one on the gearbox. iv just found today that the mount under my ecu is fucked and is causing my car to shake like a bitch! they are really easy to change aswell
