vtr..piece ov shit

    i cant get fifth gear...its not crunching or makin any noise its like theres something in the way........with the motor on or of....my release bearing is a bit fuked ....is it that or the box..........help

    Have you checked you havent bent any of the gear linkages?

    Because that happen to a mates car and it wouldnt go in to a couple of gear.

    Changed exhaust/ manifold recently? Your best bet is to get under the car and ask someone to try and select fifth - you'll be able to see if there's something blocking the linkage.

    I like the way people say "VTR piece of shit"..

    If it was looked after correctly and not abused all the time it would last and not go wrong..

    For example, when did you last change the gearbox oil!?

    i agree with you.

    Check linkages see what they are like, see if the rod is hittig off the exhaust heat shields, if it is take them off see what its like.
    Make sure linkages are not hitting off any wiring looms etc. Get a mate to put it in each gear while you are under the car.

    If not then the box is fucked.

    iv had the car for 3 nonths and i spent £300 to get it mot.d.the box is fucked......so iv took it of the road an im gonner break it on ebay........so if anyone wants any spares.....iv got everything sept the box
