Spraying..

    Got a couple spraying questions... searched through 5 pages and cant find anything.

    Firstly i have already sprayed centre console and airvents silver but i want to respray them white do i need to completely get rid of all the silver and start again??

    Secondly whats the best way to remove paint as ive screwed up spraying my saxo badge and need to start again...

    have you laqured the badges and centre console?

    I did lacquer the badges then i sanded right down primered again but it needs to have the paint properly removed...

    also the centre console isnt lacquered

    Btw u still got the bulbs??

    just give the vents and console i good rub with some red scotch brite as for the badges just rub them down with some slightly rought sand paper to remove the paint 240 grit possibly

    Then go straight to primer??

    Its not as simple as that because there a tough shape to sand

    yeah then prime paint and laquer as usual. as for the badges is the realy that bad? possibly buy some new ones wouldnt imaginr theyd be that much or half inch some from a scrappy then start again

    ok mate ill have another looks see how bad they are tomorrow if not ill go scrap yard and get a new one ..

    you dont need to prime them if they're already painted. just key the surface then paint. use something like 600 grit sand paper to key the surface.
