    16 will be fine but I've heard the tyres are more expensive?

    I'd go for 15's personally, how much you lowering by ?

    Both look good imo. You can get away lowering on 16's, im down 40mm and no have rubbing etc.

    But yeah if you go with 16's the tyres can be more expensive, especially if you have a lower profile.

    If your only going 40mm, either would be okay.

    Have a look on here for cheap tyres, free delivery too;

    I like 15's best, but that my personal view.

    Id go for toyo tr1s , had them on a majoirty of the cars ive had and theyve been spot on.

    Either toyos or the top goodyear ones for me..

    has anyone got 195/45/16 tyres and lowering without rubbing???? or would i have to buy 40 profile?
  13. #13
    I have 40mm drop all the way round, at least 20mm spacers on each wheel using 195-45 tyres and its fine, ever so slightly on the front, but back it fine when carrying 4 people.

    I have 195/40/16 and theres no rubbing, but i think with 45 profile you might rub abit.
