help - removing inner wheel arch liners

    hi all, need some advice

    I am going to install my mk1 angel eyes tommorrow (weather prevailing) and know that i need to remove the front bumper in order to do so.

    in order to remove the front bumper i know i need to find two screws at each side of the car hidden behind the wheel arch liners - these seem to be held on using poppers... is it as easy as using a flat head screw driver to pop them off??

    i just pulled mine dude and they came out ok with no damage but try using either a screwdriver or a pair of pliers

    You dont need to remove front bumper, just remove the grill and oringal headlights.. takes about 30 mins to install them.

    Ahh we like this - means less work hehe! In that case it doesnt take a genius to ask my next question - how do I remove the front grill for a mk 1? I can see 3 bolts that I need to remove... looking down at the bumper with the bonnet up!

    After I remove them... how do I get the grill of please peeps! Cheers

    remove the indiactors, they lever out with a flat head, then you remove a white clip holding the grill on, underneath where the indicator used to be on both sides, then carefully prise out the grill which is held in by clips being carefull not to snap them

    Just remove your headlights first, then take off the 3 screws visable on holding the grill in place and pop it out, and then put angels back in and then grill...
